Got Paper!

Don't spend your cash on things we can make together! Join me for a fun filled Holiday Get Together - If you have printed or plain Christmas paper, cardstock, Christmas stickers, die cuts etc. come share with your fellow paper crafters and complete your Christmas projects. We will be creative and make handmade items to give to others this holiday season...gift tags, bags, greeting cards, paper albums, and more!

You can also adorn your paper items you have at home for gift giving...plain colored gift bags, paper plates, shirt boxes, jewelry boxes etc. These items can be used to give cookies, candy or gifts to teachers, neighbors, sales clerks, service people etc.

To help you complete your gift giving projects we will be having a Homemade Christmas Cookie and Candy Exchange. Bring 2 dozen homemade cookies and/or candy to exchange. You will be able to fill those bags and boxes with ease. For those gifts that are immediate you can package them during the event; for those gifts that you will give in the next 7-10 days (or more) you can refrigerate or freeze the homemade goods. Simply take them out the night before you will be giving the gift, allowing them to thaw on a counter naturally. In the morning, fill your treat box, bag, or baggy and give that gift!

This is a 2 DAY EVENT-Thursday, December 3, 2009 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Friday, December 4, 9:30-12:30 p.m. Come both evenings for a total of 6 HOURS... plenty of time to get those projects DONE! All of my Creative Memories tools and pens will be available for you to use.

Ladies this will be a time filled with Christmas cheer. We will listen to Christmas music, watch a classic Christmas movie and have Christmas refreshments. Come get into the holiday spirit with us!

The cost of this 2 day event is just $10 AND 8 paper Christmas items to share...Christmas paper, cardstock, stickers, die cuts... This can be a few of this and a few of that as long as you have 8. These items will be put on a table to share. Everyone will BRING 8 items and TAKE 8 items! If you are participating in the Christmas Cookie and Candy Exchange and you bring 2 dozen homemade cookies and/or candy you will receive $4 off the cost of this event.

Things to do before you come:

-Make a list of what you'd like to complete.
-Gather all the paper products that can be used for Christmas and put them a set of 8 to be shared with others.

Holiday Preparations

It's time to start thinking of our holiday celebrations with Thanksgiving right around the corner and Christmas soon to follow. Did you take the time to make those Harvest Treat bags for Halloween? Well, here is another opportunity for you to make them. You can use them as part of your place setting for your Thanksgiving dinner. Fill each bag with dinner mints and then make shapes of leaves, pumpkins or harvest colored tags with your Creative Memories Shape Makers, put words like "family", "health", "salvation", "forgiveness"... on the shapes. After you fill each bag, put the name of the person on the place card (tag) attached to the front of the bag. Before dinner each person draws from their bag, reads the word and shares why they are thankful as it relates to this word. This makes a for a great time of sharing before Thanksgiving dinner.
